License Types

• “INDIVIDUAL License” is the license to use a single instance of a product on one host system.
• “MULTI-INSTANCE License” is the license to use one or multiple instances of a product on one host system.
• Currently unavailable (will become available in Q3 2010) “NETWORK License” is the license to use one or multiple instances of a product on multiple hosts in a network. Each host system must have permanent network connection to the “license server”, i.e. the system on which the license key resides.

Rules for all three license types:

• Only one license key can reside on a given host system.
• The mandatory host system requirements are defined in the product’s SPD.
• Any CHARON product code or product description that does not refer to a license type will be deemed to refer to an INDIVIDUAL license.
