Stromasys announces new Chief Executive Officer, Jean-Paul Bergmans.

14.06.2011 - Geneva, Switzerland – Stromasys SA announced Jean-Paul Bergmans has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Stromasys and has been elected as a member of the Stromasys Board of Directors.

 

                                   


Jean-Paul Bergmans joined Stromasys in January 2011 as Chief Operations Officer. In this role, Jean-Paul has improved Stromasys' sales channels and product positioning within the market. Stromasys sees a growing number of strategic relationships with companies like HP and Dell, driven by the compatibility of the CHARON product family with the trend towards datacenter virtualization.

“As our cross-platform virtualization technology becomes mainstream, Jean-Paul's proven track record of managing a variety of international IT companies working with large international clients will be an extraordinary asset to Stromasys” said the Stromasys founder, Chairman and CTO Robert Boers. “From a personal perspective, the transfer of my CEO role to Jean-Paul gives me the opportunity to focus on the next generation of our products and on an increasing number of strategic initiatives”.

Before joining Stromasys, Jean-Paul worked for many years in Sun Microsystems as International Marketing Development Manager, Product Sales Director EMEA, Regional Director CIS and Vice-President Southern & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa. After leaving Sun, Jean-Paul started and managed an IT company in Russia. Before joining Sun, Jean-Paul held positions of Marketing and Sales Manager Belgium, European Services Sales Manager and System Integration Manager Russia in Digital Equipment Corporation.
