Dr. Robert Boers
Founder, Chairman & CTO, Stromasys SA
Robert Boers started his career as a sales representative for Digital Equipment Corporation in the Netherlands. After several years in the IT department of RaboBank, he returned to Digital Equipment Europe in Geneva. In various engineering functions, he was responsible for Telecommunication compliance, the European External R&D program, established several Digital engineering centers in Western Europe, and created Digital's software migration center in Moscow.
Robert has an engineering degree from the Technical University in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, an Honorary Doctorate from the Moscow Engineering-Physics Technical University, and completed the International Advanced Management Program from IMD, Lausanne and INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. Robert founded Stromasys in 1998 as a management buyout at the time of the merger between Digital and Compaq.
Jean-Paul Bergmans' career spans over 35 years in the information Technology Industry. He has spent most of his working life with Digital Equipment and with Sun Microsystems. During his Digital career, he held various Field Management and European Headquarter Management positions in sales, services sales and professional services. Whilst at Sun, after being part of the European Management team as Product & Solutions Sales Director, he became Vice-President for Eastern, Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa, covering 91 countries. After leaving Sun, Jean-Paul started and managed an IT company in Russia. He joined Stromasys as COO in January 2011 and has since been appointed CEO in June 2011.
He has retired from Stromasys CEO position on the 30th of September 2012 and remains on the Board of the company.
Marianne Favre Moreillon
Marianne Favre Moreillon has many years of experience in the field of business and finance law. She started her professional career in a law firm in London before joining the Geneva Stock Exchange for five years. After having worked in Lausanne for several law firms, she decided to use her knowledge and expertise to create her own legal firm "DroitActif" in Lausanne in 1999.
Marianne Favre Moreillon got a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Lausanne in 1989.
After completing a BA in Economics at the University of Geneva, Mr. Pavoncello started his professional career at UBS as Portfolio Manager in 1987, and became responsible for the investment strategy and member of the investment committee. He joined Credit Suisse in 1999 to head the HNWI department in Geneva. Based on his wide experience in finance, Mr. Pavoncello created Wedge Associates SA in 2004, a Wealth Management and Investment company with a direct financing and Private Equity department. As a former member of the Board of the Swiss Financial Analyst Association, Mr. Pavoncello is currently a Board member of the Swiss Asset Manager Association.
